# Pixelarticons CLI

> An archived CLI that generated React components from the Pixelarticons icon library, now superseded by native support upstream.

A CLI tool that generated React components from the [Pixelarticons](https://pixelarticons.com) icon library by Gerrit Halfmann. It supported on-demand generation, tree-shaking, TypeScript and JavaScript output, and path alias resolution.

## Why It Is Archived

The original Pixelarticons project added native React component generation, which made this tool redundant. Use the [official package](https://github.com/halfmage/pixelarticons) directly instead.

## What It Did

- Generated components for 486 hand-made pixel art icons.
- Generated only the icons you asked for, to keep bundles small.
- Resolved path aliases such as `@`, `~`, and `#` from your `tsconfig.json`.
- Prompted before it overwrote existing components.
