A browser extension that replaces the raw testmail.app JSON response with an inbox. It is on the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.
Features
- Two-pane inbox: The email list is on the left and the reading pane is on the right.
- Search: You can search across sender, recipient, subject, tag, and text.
- Folders: Emails have read and unread states, and a Done folder with undo.
- Reading pane: Tabs show the HTML body, the plain text, and the raw source.
- Metadata drawer: The drawer shows From, To, Message-ID, SPF, DKIM, and the sender IP.
- Keyboard: Gmail-style shortcuts and a command bar on
Ctrl+K.Ccopies the verification code.
Security
Test inboxes can receive hostile HTML. A sanitizer removes scripts, forms, and frames. The result renders in an <iframe> with an empty sandbox attribute, and a Content Security Policy blocks all remote resources. The extension does not store your API key and sends no data anywhere.
Why
The visual viewer of testmail.app needs a Pro plan, but the JSON API works on every plan. This extension gives the JSON API the inbox view it was missing.
